Multiplayer issues and what we are working on.
Hello everyone.
Over the last 48 hours, we have identified a number of issues with the Multiplayer part of FarCry 3. They are as follows:
1. Matchmaking problems / Lobbies won't start
At the present, certain lobbies will not start the game even when enough players have joined. This is a bug relating to migration between game sessions and is currently being worked on. We hope to have this issue patched within the next few days.
2. Falling through game world in Singleplayer
On Friday the 30th of November, a planned maintenance outage exposed a bug where players would fall through the game world when the game tried to connect to the online servers, which were down.
This is NOT related to any sort of DRM, despite what rumors might have indicated. It was an unrelated problem. It could be fixed temporarily by launching the game in 'Offline Mode' through Uplay.
This is a bug however, and is being worked on at the time of writing. We hope to have this issue patched very soon. In the meantime, the problem will not appear while the online servers are up.
3. Weapon levels are not saved
This issue happens to some players some of the time. Hence the reason it has taken some time to track this problem down. It does not affect all weapons either.
This issue, along with the first two, is being worked on. However; The first two take priority since they are the most critical.
