				Introduction   [INTRO]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As a CSI games fan, I'm always there when the new game comes out,
and so here I am.
Hereby I bring you a complete walkthrough of CSI: Deadly Intent.
A walkthrough that makes you win the game with all awards
and earn a 100% completion.

Keep in mind though, that this CSI has no quizzes or puzzles for evaluation
after the case ends.

That said you will not be able to get a 100% unless you learn how the things
work.

There are four factors in 100% completion:
Thoroughness, Skill, Cunning and Awards.

Thoroughness: You earn points for this by searching every place which is
available to look at. Even the places where there's no evidence around.
You can get 100% on this by reading this guide.

Skill: You earn skill points by using your evidence and tools wisely.
Meaning you should first look by yourself and make sure it's right,
before pushing the confirm match button. Otherwise you lose skill points.

You can get help on this by reading this guide, but there's no guarantee
that you will get a 100% on it by reading the guide because one wrong click
would mean you have lost points.

Cunning: You earn cunning points by asking all the right questions.
For example if you accuse a suspect without evidence and they deny it,
you lose cunning points.
Also, if you ask Brass for a warrant and present him with the wrong evidence,
you will also lose cunning points.
You can get 100% on this by reading this guide.

Awards: You get different awards for doing different stuff in the game.
You can get 100% on this by reading this guide.

				Game History   [GAME]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    * CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2003) (PC, Mac, Xbox)
    * CSI: Dark Motives (2004) (PC, Nintendo DS)
    * CSI: Miami (2004) (PC)
    * CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder (2006) (PC, PlayStation 2)
    * CSI: Hard Evidence (2007) (PC, Xbox 360, Wii)
    * CSI: Miami (2008) (cell phone)
    * CSI: NY (2008) (PC)
    * CSI: Deadly Intent (2009) (PC, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS)

Having played all those games really made me want to play the
latest one too of course!
And while I do like all the CSI games, CSI: NY didn't live up to expectation
completely in my opinion. Although I'm happy to have finished all the CSI's.

One big setback in this new one though compared to the older ones,
is that there are no puzzles but you do get some stuff to assemble
time to time.

Some improved stuff in this game is the graphics, ease of game play,
a better tutorial at the beginning and of course a more realistic lab.

As always, you're the 'new guy' or 'new gal' at the CSI and try to impress
others with your skills and get popular around there.

                     	  Case 1 - Broken Hearted            [CASE01]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Partner: Nick Stokes
Locations: 3
Difficulty: Medium

After the case intro finishes, start asking Nick questions right away.

Ask Nick (your partner):

   - Looks like she bled out.
   - Do we know her name?

Now go back. (Right click)

+++New Evidence: Charles Steer's 911 Call+++

Open PDA. (Esc)

Now click on Email. Look at the emails you have.

Go back. Now open options for an easy award.
Go back again and exit the PDA mode.

Click on where the victim is. After checking out her neck,
see the blood pool next to her and collect a sample using the swab.

+++New Evidence: Victim's Blood from crime scene+++

Go back
 twice.
Turn right and check out the empty tub on the far corner of the room.

Go back.
Check out the gray part in the carpet located in the lower left of where
there's a normal looking bottle on top.
Click on the gray part and reveal it using the LCV.
Watch as the evidence is collected.

+++New Evidence: Blood from carpet at crime scene+++

Now that we're still examining the carpet,
turn a bit to the right where there's white powder on the ground.
It's closer to the bottle.
Much more than the blood we had found. Click on it.
Collect the evidence using the adhesive mount (Collection Tool).

+++New Evidence: White powder from floor of crime scene+++

Go back twice.
Now go up and check the bottle itself and all the way to the right to see
some other drinks too. Go back.
Turn left and look left to where Nick is standing and taking pictures.
It's in the very corner of the doorway going to the bathroom,
Under the dresser. Click on the glass there to pick it up.

+++New Evidence: Piece of glass from under dresser at crime scene+++

Go back.
Further left you will find a nice red sofa with three
separate cushion pieces. The one on the right has been turned upside down.
Click on it. After a process of turning it back, click on the blood there
to collect it using the swab tool.

+++New Evidence: Blood from couch cushion at crime scene+++

Go back twice. Enter the bathroom now.
Check out under the tap water on right to find a dirty sink.
Use LCV on it to find even more blood.

+++New Evidence: Blood found in sink at crime scene+++

Go back.
Now click on the third cabinet door from left, to open it and then look inside.
Go back.
Turn right and click on the tub part now and then check out the statue.
Nothing else there to collect now so all the way back to the far right
to talk to the Hotel Manager.

Ask the Hotel Manager:

   - Sir, May I get your name?
   - What time did you discover the body?
   - A man was staying in this room?
   - Do you have the cash he handled?
   - Did he touch anything else? Registration Card? Pen?
   - Do you recognize the victim?
   - Anybody hear anything last night?
   - Someone tried to clean blood from the carpet.
   - Is there anything else you can tell us?

Now open the PDA and go to the morgue.

Talk to Dr. Robbins:

   - Any sign of sexual trauma?
   - Do we find out anything from tox?
   -   T.O.D.?
   -   And what about a C.O.D.?

+++New Evidence: Glass from victim's neck+++

   - Have you taken her fingerprints yet?

+++New Evidence: Victim's Ten Card+++

   - Anything else you can tell me?

Now back to the victim's body. Click on her mouth to find a piece of evidence.

+++New Evidence: Victim's removable dental work+++

Now let's go to the lab.

First we go to the materials lab.
Use the Substance Analysis computer. (The one on left)
Select Chemical.
Select the White powder from floor of crime scene. Click Search.

Select these results in any order:

#1 - #4 - #7 (Numbered from top)

Confirm match.

Open up your PDA and click Case File.
Look at the information on the victim and suspects to get an award.
Then click on reconstructions. Watch a video again to get another easy award.

Back to the same machine.

Select DNA.
Then add evidence and add only Victim's Blood from crime scene as the
evidence and click Search. No match.

Now click on reset.
Select Victim's Blood from crime scene and then in the other slot
select Blood found in sink at crime scene. Compare these together.
After fitting all the pieces together, confirm match.

Reset and select Blood from carpet at the crime scene and compare it with
Victim's Blood from crime scene. It's not a match so go back once.
After doing so Nick will acknowledge that they are not the same.
This time reset and select Blood from couch cushion at crime scene and
compare it to Victim's Blood from crime scene.
Go back.
Again no match.
Then have the two unidentified blood samples,
Blood from carpet at the crime scene and
Blood from couch cushion at crime scene in the same comparison. No match.

Now back out of everything and head onto the microscope.
Select Microscope.
Add victim's removable dental work as evidence.
Select 10x magnification and after adjusting it look for the
serial number on the edge of it.
Now go back and to the assembly table.

We have 2 pieces of glass at the moment.
Select the piece located on left and flip it using the left flip button twice.
Then drag it to attach to he right part of the bigger piece.
Now open the evidences list on the PDA and
examine the partially reassembled ashtray/murder weapon.

Now we go to the data lab.
Then go for Audio/Video analysis (Computer on left).
Select Audio, click evidence and add Charles Steer's 911 Call. Play it.

Go back to the data lab main room.

Time to see the database computer. Select Medical Database.
Select ID number from victim's bridgework. Search.
Now in Brass's Office, you get info on the victim and a new location.
Before going anywhere, ask Brass:

   -   Going to a party?

Time to move now.

We pay another visit to Aurelia's Fantasy Suites.
Look at the left side of the bed. Near where Nick is standing,
and to the right side of the lamp with a heart shape on it,
there's a white extension to the bed that says "Gratis".
Click on it for another piece of glass to appear. Pick it up.

+++New Evidence: Piece of glass from near bed at crime scene+++

                           +++ Location Searched +++

Now go to Pleasure City.
Click on the Pleasure City logo.
Then go in and talk to the redhaired woman inside.

Ask her:

   - May we get your name, please?
   - Those look like some nasty bruises on your arms.
   - Do you know Lynn Bowder?
   - You saw Lynn last night? Was that here?
   - Can you tell us more about the guy she was with?
   - Where exactly did Ms. Bowder dance for this gentleman?
   - What time did Lynn leave with this man?
   - How well did you know Lynn?
   - Lynn Bowder called you? After you hadn't spoken in a few years?
   - Did you know anyone who might have had a problem with Lynn?
   - Have you ever been to Aurelia's Fantasy Suites?
   - Could Lynn have gotten married last night?
   - Anything else you can tell us?

Now look to the right and be thorough by checking the drinks on right.
Go back twice.
Turn around and look at the bubble chairs.
Then to the center of stage for another thoroughness point.
Time to turn focus to the chair turned away from the stage.
Turn left now and click on the chair turned away from the stage and
brush for prints.
There are four prints there.
One on your left, another on the left side of the seat,
one on the middle right corner and another on the top right.
After finding the first print,
You will get a call fom Brass telling you to meet him when you get a chance.
But ignore it for now.

+++New Evidence: Print from upper left of lap dance chair+++
+++New Evidence: Finger and Palm print from seat of lap dance chair+++
+++New Evidence: Fingerprint from lower right of lap dance chair+++
+++New Evidence: Fingerprint from upper right of lap dance chair+++

Time for another lab visit.
Go to the assembly table and select the new piece and flip it once using the
left flip button and drag it onto the left part of the old piece to
attach to it.

Now the data lab and fingerprints.

Match victim Lynn Bowder's Ten Card with the
Print from upper left of lap dance chair. Confirm Match.
Reset and select Finger and Palm print from seat of lap dance chair.
Prepare Search. Luckily the only result is a positive one.
Match the piece with the lower right part. Confirm your match.
Time for Fingerprint from lower right of lap dance chair.
Prepare Search. Select the second result and match it to the
lower right part again. Confirm match.
Try searching for Fingerprint from upper right of lap dance chair.
Again the second result does it. Confirm match. We need to see Brass now.

Ask:

   - Do you have the card from the ATM?

+++New Evidence: Victim Lynn Bowder's ATM Card +++

Then open up the evidences to check the card. Scan for prints to get one.

+++New Evidence: Fingerprint from Victim's ATM Card+++

Back to lab we go. Prepare Search for our new print.
The last result will match. Confirm match.
Go to Aurelia's Fantasy Suites. Talk to Charles Steer.

Ask:

   - We found your print on the victim's ATM Card.
   - You never mentioned that Ms. Bowder checked in too.
   - Anything else you forgot to mention to us?

Time to go to Brass's office. Talk to him.
We need to bring Airam Dominguez in for questioning.
Evidence to present is Airam Dominguez's prints from seat of lap dance chair.

+++New Evidence: Picture of Airam Dominguez+++

Now, we go back to Aurelia's Fantasy Suites.

Ask Charles Steer:

   - Do you recognize the person in this photo?

Brass will then call you about Airam Dominguez being found.
Time to go and ask our long waited questions.

Ask:

   - What brought you to Las Vegas?
   - Did you meet Lynn Bowder at Pleasure City?
   - We have witnesses who saw you with Lynn Bowder.

+++New Evidence: Airam Dominguez's DNA+++

   - We also need the clothes you wore yesterday.

+++New Evidence: Airam Dominguez's Tuxedo Shirt+++

   - How'd you get that bruise?
   - Ever been to Aurelia's Fantasy Suites?
   - Did you put that ashtray in Lynn's throat?

Back to the lab.

We need to match:
Airam Dominguez's DNA with the Blood from couch cushion at crime scene.
Confirm match.

Time to see why he lied. Back to the interrogation room.

Ask:

   - Ever been to Aurelia's Fantasy Suites?

Now evidence says he is lying.
Select Airam Dominguez's Blood from couch and present.

   - Both ladies? There were two women there you?
   - I'm curious... Why the wedding dress?
   - You want to tell us where you really got that bruise?
   - Why didn't you call the police?
   - What about Lynn Bowder's ATM Card?

Let's go to Pleasure City again.
Near where Kathy was standing lies her DNA-Filled napkin.

Let's pick it up.

+++New Evidence: Kathy Burd's napkin+++

                           +++ Location Searched +++

Now to the lab.
Open up evidences and look at Airam Dominguez's tuxedo shirt.
Look at the right side of the collar to be exact.
Click on the piece of glass to pick it up.

+++New Evidence: Piece of glass from Airam Dominguez's tuxedo shirt+++

Back to evidences. Check out Kathy Burd's napkin.
Get the DNA off of it by the swab tool.

+++New Evidence: Mucus from Kathy Burd's napkin+++

To the assembly table.
Flip the tiny piece once with the right button so that the darker part
is located on the bottom and then fit it into our bigger piece.
Now to the DNA department again.
Select mucus from Kathy Burd's napkin and match it with
Blood from carpet at crime scene. Confirm match.

Time to go to Kathy Burd's Apartment. Knock on the door.

Ask:

   - Would you mind if we asked you some questions?

To Brass's office.
We need a warrant to search Kathy Burd's Apartment.
Present Kathy Burd's Blood from the crime scene carpet.
Back to Kathy's apartment.
Knock Knock. Wow, Charles is also there. And there he leaves.
So let's go back outside and cast a mold on where he stepped on.
Use a casting tool here to cast a mold and pick it up.

+++New Evidence: Charles Steer's Shoe print+++

Next we go back inside.
Start from the left.
There's a window you immediately see. Look at it for thoroughness.
Go back. Turn right and look at the bed and the chest,
also thoroughness points.
Next to the bed you find a clock and next to that on right another window.
Look at it. Go back.
Now to the middle part and the plate on the ground.
You should also be able to see the long white socks and some dirty bra
and lingerie in the same view.
Go back.
Now look at the painting in the far corner of the room.
Go back again.
Let's go to the bathroom now.
It's very close to the painting and to the right of it.
Enter and look at the sink. Now go back once and look at the shower.
There seems to be some dirt on the ground there. Yep.
Something got washed here and it's not exactly human stink.
Click on it and spray some LCV on it. Blood it is.

+++New Evidence: Blood from Kathy Burd's apartment+++

Back out of the bathroom. Look at the desk on right.
Click on the open drawer on lower left.
Go back. Look at the painting supplies on the table.
Go back.
And the last room to check for evidence is next to where Nick is standing.
Enter it.
Look at the clothes.
Go back.
Look at the shoes.
Now turn left. Collect the chunk of glass.

+++New Evidence: Glass Shard from Kathy Burd's apartment closet+++

                           +++ Location Searched +++

Go back twice. Time to ask Kathy some stuff:

   - I wasn't expecting to see Charlie here.
   -   It's no problem,
       but you said you'd never been to Aurelia's Fantasy Suites.
   - We understand Lynn Bowder was staying with you.
   - Do you know whose blood this is?
   - Where did this glass shard come from?
   - What else can you tell us?

Now to the lab.
Match the blood from Kathy Burd's apartment with
Victim Lynn Bowder's Blood from crime scene.
Confirm match. Let's go to the assembly table now.
Flip our new piece once with the left button and then
attach it to the big piece. Now go to Brass's office.
We need to issue an arrest warrant for Kathy Burd.
Present Victim's Blood from Kathy Burd's Apartment.

Let's talk more seriously with her:

   - We need to take your fingerprints.

+++New Evidence: Kathy Burd's Ten Card+++

Back to the lab. In the materials lab go to the far right and
look at the pictures on the right for the last thoroughness point.
Now to the data lab. Talk to Dr. Langston (the guy working on the computer).
Let's help Dr. Langston identify that fingerprint.
Select partial print from a cannoli form and identify five characteristics.
Then match it to the only result. Confirm match.
After helping him solve his case go back to the interrogation room
with Kathy Burd.

   - Did you see Lynn after she was killed?

Evidence says she is lying.
Present Victim's Blood from Kathy Burd's Apartment.

   - Did you see Lynn after she was killed?

Evidence says she is lying.
Present the partially reassembled ashtray/murder weapon

   - Just tell us what happened.
   - Do you have any proof Charlie was threatening you?

+++New Evidence: Kathy Burd's Phone+++

To the lab.
First listen to the message from Kathy Burd's phone.
Now let's compare the voice mail message from Kathy Burd's phone
with the 911 call made by Charles Steer.
Compare the first part of the 911 call with the message from her phone.

Go to Brass's office.
We need an arrest warrant for Charles Steer.
Present Kathy Burd's Phone.

Now with Charles:

   - You say SHE killed Lynn. She says YOU killed Lynn.
   - If you didn't kill her, why did you clean up the crime scene?
   - Why were you at Ms. Burd's apartment?
   - I'm going to need your shoes, please.

+++New Evidence: Charles Steer's Shoes+++

   -   Open wide, Please.

+++New Evidence: Charles Steer's DNA+++

To the lab again.
Examine Charles's shoe and get the white substance off of the right shoe.
Use the adhesive mount (Collection tool).

+++New Evidence: Powder found on Charles Steer's shoe+++

Then look under the same shoe and see a piece of glass.
Pick it up.

+++New Evidence: Glass from Charles Steer's shoe+++

Now compare carpet cleaner found on floor at crime scene with
Powder found on Charles Steer's shoe.
Confirm match. To the assembly table.
Flip the last tiny piece twice using the left button and then
attach it to get a full piece and a print.

Then look at the full piece from the evidences and look at the back side.
Click and brush for prints.
To the fingerprint department. Match up Print from the murder weapon and
Kathy Burd's Ten Card. Confirm Match.

To the interrogation room. Continue talking with Charles.

Ask:

   - If you didn't kill her, why did you clean up the crime scene?

Evidence says he is lying. Present Powder found on Charles Steer's shoe.

   - Why did you leave the phone message?
   - What about Lynn's ATM Card?
   - Why would Kathy Burd would want to kill Lynn Bowder?

Now time to talk to Kathy for the last time.

   - Charlie admitted his role in covering up the murder.
   - Kathy, We know you killed Lynn.

Evidence says she is lying.
Present Kathy Burd's Print from the murder weapon.

Watch as the case is wrapped up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: OMG Why didn't I get a 100% skill point?

A: You must have clicked too much looking for a minutiae and the game punished
you with skill points deduction.
Or perhaps tried to confirm a match on something that didn't match.
Either way the walkthrough has been tested and it works for 100% completion
in all cases.
Unfortunately to get a 100% skill point,
you would have to start the case all over again and be perfect
with no errors in the lab.
But hey, it gives you like three awards to be more and more accurate
in the lab so I bet it'd worth it.

Q: Some of the stuff you say can be done in a different order too!

A: Well, basically you can always do most of stuff in any order.
What matters is, which one is the fastest.
I try to give you the shortest way possible.
